Hey! I’m Laura, your Registered Dietitian.
My mission is to support you in your journey to rediscover the joy in eating, accept your body, and nourish yourself with mindfulness and intention.
I know how important this is to you because I’ve been in your shoes too - frustrated with my body, overwhelmed at the idea of change, and unable to let go of the habits and behaviors that kept me stuck in a never ending cycle of restriction.
I’m here today so that you don’t have to go through the same experience.
My journey to food freedom was anything but straightforward.
Growing up, I knew what it felt like to be the biggest person in the room. Constantly feeling out of place in a society that pushed me to be smaller kicked off years of disordered eating.
Here’s the thing… I eventually became the smallest person in the room.
And what I discovered is that, in my pursuit of an arbitrary pant size, I lost everything that made my life worth living. My joy, energy, passion, health and even my cycles left along with the weight I had so desperately wanted to lose.
But I was scared of letting go.
As a (now recovering!) perfectionist and human largely driven by process, schedules, and standards - restricting food had become my only tool for control in a life that was ever-changing. Moving abroad to college, dealing with the academic pressures of an elite institution, and not having a strong sense of who I was or my potential felt confusing and overwhelming. Restricting and bingeing gave me a false sense of control. Until it they didn’t.
My story is not unique. That’s why I specialize in working with high-achieving women that are stuck in toxic relationships with food. If you recognize yourself in my story - welcome. You’re in good company. You’re not alone.
And you, too, can heal.
Eventually, I got curious. What would my life look like if I were to let go with my obsession with food? What if my weight and image weren’t the most interesting parts of who I was?
I began to research and dove deep into everything I could get my hands on related to nutrition. In my search, I found Intuitive Eating and non-diet approaches to health - which blew my mind, and saved my life.
The more I learned and the more I applied this approach to my own experience, the more I grew into the person that I wanted to be. She was there all along - she just needed the emotional space and nourishment to thrive.
So, what did I gain? Well, my cycles came back (alongside my PCOS and other struggles, which I now specialize in), my sleep improved, I got stronger - and my mental health flourished. Turns out, my brain needed fuel too! Recovery can take years of emotionally hard and physically uncomfortable work - but it is worth every single step of the way.
My newfound clarity helped me realize I wanted to use life force to help other women find healing too.
I left a promising career in the corporate world to pursue my Masters in Nutrition and the necessary training to become a Registered Dietitian. Throughout my training and professional experience, I’ve helped people struggling with eating disorders and multiple health conditions and witnessed how the power of proper nourishment can transform lives.
I want this to be your story, too. You are limitless - let’s get you the fuel you need so you can reach your potential.

RDs are accredited healthcare professionals qualified to provide specialized dietary guidance and medical nutrition therapy, whereas nutritionists may have varying levels of education and expertise, and their practice is not necessarily regulated.
You can take a 6-week online course and be a “nutritionist”, but becoming a Registered Dietitian takes 6+ years and a lot of supervised practice! Good nutrition is much more than weight loss, eating broccoli, or counting macros. It takes a deep understanding of science, the body’s physiology, and behavior change to provide evidence-based recommendations that are tailored to you.
I’m more of a deep-conversations kind of girl, but here are some fun facts about me.
I’m an Enneagram 1 and an INFJ. Basically, I’m a recovering perfectionist with a touch of neuroticism, who usually gets into trouble for trying to do the right thing. But that’s a good thing, right?
I am a crazy cat lady and treat my two kitties like the babies they are.
I can make some mean, mean tacos.
I was born in Spain and have lived in England and across the USA!
I am a proud Air Force spouse, married to my amazing husband for 7 years. We met on a dating app and it was love at first sight!
